Product Description

What gift would you give our society that would make the greatest difference to the greatest number of lives? The author Eric E. Wright has no doubts about the answer: the giving and receiving of forgiveness. As he says, "Learning to give and receive forgiveness is an essential element of Christian living. Without it our relationships become brittle and tattered - or non-existent!" In this latest book in The Guide series, Eric E. Wright examines the whole subject of forgiveness, including: what it is (and what it isn't!); forgiveness from both a personal and a heavenly perspective; who should take the first step; reconciliation; restitution and much more. He challenges you to embrace a lifestyle of forgiveness by following the model forgiver, Jesus Christ himself, and shows how a right attitude to this practice can revolutionize your life and the life of your community.

There are a number of books about the subjects of grace and forgiveness. Some of these are worth their merit; one only has to think of Philip Yancey's, What's So Amazing about Grace, or Lewis Smedes', Shame and Grace. There are many others however that are either trivial and often one dimensional. Wright's book is neither. It is easily accessible, and looks at grace and forgiveness through many different and challenging vantage points. Wright challenges the reader to once again stand in awe of God's grace, yet also reconsider one's own simplistic view on the subject.
