Plunge into the world of seen and unseen forces in The Guardian. Anna Riley has just come into possession of a two-thousand-year old scroll that God gave to John the Disciple. Her mission—to guard the scroll and unlock its secret. Jason Lang, her protector, has his work cut out for him as they begin their journey around the world, facing corruption and dodging bullets—all the while trying to keep his attraction to Anna at bay. Will he succeed in defending the woman he’s vowed to protect? Will Anna, forced to trust other people to stay alive, fulfill the challenge that she’s accepted?
Robbie Cheuvront the a worship pastor of Northpoint Church in Corona, California, and cofounder of C&R Ministries with Erik Reed. He is also a songwriter and formerly toured with BNA recording artists Lonestar. Robbie is married to Tiffany and has two children, Cason and Hadyn, and is currently pursuing a theology degree.
Erik is the lead pastor and an elder of The Journey Church in Lebanon, Tennessee. He graduate from Western Kentucky University with a B.A. in Religious Studies. He also graduated with his MDiv from Southern Seminary. Erik is married to Katrina, with two children, Kaleb and Kaleigh.
Bequeathed to Anna by her grandfather, a man who had dedicated his life to the role of guardian, the scroll is believed to be the one God gave John the Disciple in the book of Revelation. It was then passed down and protected through the numerous generations of John's descendants. Anna is a direct descendent. It is said that the scroll contains more information about John's vision regarding the end times information not included in the Bible. The moment Anna accepts the task of protecting the scroll, she slaps a red target on her back. The artifact is being hunted by the Roman Catholic Church; but, the force behind this relentless search is the Prince of Darkness himself.
Solomon writes in the book of Proverbs, "Do not forsake your friend Better is a neighbor who is near than a brother who is far away." This is a lesson Anna learns when she is deserted by her family, yet defended and protected by loyal friends. Among those friends is a potential romantic interest, Jason Lang. Together, they strive to uncover the riddle contained in the scroll.
Religious doctrine is not discussed or defended in the novel. However, numerous controversial beliefs are apparent throughout the story. A conviction in the complete sovereignty of God that He determines everything that comes to pass along with the idea of an addition to the existing Bible (with the words of the scroll) make this a novel that not all audiences will be comfortable with.
I would recommend this novel to those who enjoy the stories of Indiana Jones and Dan Brown's DaVinci Code, only this time told with a twist. Lucinda Sweazey, www.ChristianBookPreviews.com
"I haven't read a book front to back in a long time but The Guardian was one that I just couldn't put down! I knew Robbie Cheuvront was a very creative person from writing songs with him over the years. But as a Novelist, Robbie has, without a doubt, taken his craft to a whole new level!" - Richie McDonald, Former Lead Singer of BNA recording artists LoneStar, writer of multiple BillBoard #1 songs, and CMA and ACM award winner.
"Having been privileged to work with Robbie co-writing songs and recording in the studio,I'm certain anything with his name on it deserves a closer look--he is the definition of multitalented." -Chris Waters, Grammy Award winning writer of multiple BillBoard #1 songs, and also an award winning columnist and critic (Graduate of the Culinary Institute of America) for a food magazine in the San Antonio area.

Anna2 Stars Out Of 5A flat thriller.October 5, 2015AnnaQuality: 2Value: 2Meets Expectations: 1I received this book as a gift awhile back and decided to read it during some down time recently. I can't say that it's on my "best book" list, unfortunately. I felt as though there was a lot of potential in the initial plot, but the book doesn't take advantage of the setup. The writing seems to lack the nuance it needs to tell the story in a realistic fashion, and I didn't ever connect with the characters. However, I think if the writers continue honing their skill they will be able to give the characters and plot in their next book more depth and realism.
