Product Description

The Giver tells the story of a dystopian world where everyone lives a life of "sameness," which dulls their emotions and removes traces of individuality. Careers, spouses, and children are given, not picked, and everyone conforms. However, when twelve-year-old Jonas receives the job of the Receiver of Memory, he begins to understand the dark, complex secrets that lie behind his community.

This movie tie-in edition features cover art from the movie and exclusive Q&A with members of the cast, including Taylor Swift, Brenton Thwaites and Cameron Monaghan.

1994 Newbery Medal winner.

Hardcover with dust jacket.

Not until he is given his life assignment as the Receiver of Memory does he begin to understand the dark, complex secrets behind his fragile community. This movie tie-in edition features cover art from the movie and exclusive Q&A with members of the cast, including Taylor Swift, Brenton Thwaites and Cameron Monaghan.
