The Geneva Bible, 1599 Edition, Hardcover
A unique product, so-so quality
This is an interesting read, with a helpful dictionary of archaic words in the back, so I would recommend it for someone like me, who is interested in the "faith of our fathers", but will not be using it a lot after a read-through. The binding is so-so, the leather cover feels and acts more like cardboard, and the ribbon immediately began shredding, to the point that I had to apply scotch tape along the whole ribbon after a couple of weeks of daily readings. (Using it for my one-year through the Bible 2014)

I may have to steal this gift back!
I bought this for my husband as a Christmas gift. He loves it and so do I. It is so easy to read and enjoy. The pages are a little thicker than typical Bible pages and the print is large, but not huge. It is way better than I thought it would be, so much so that I find myself using it a lot. The wording seems to flow better than NKJV or KJV which is what I am used to.

Fascinating, hard to put down
The 1599 Geneva Bible has been a fascinating read. It is a look back into history to a time of revolution against tyranny. The marginal notes are important to read as they are notes of John Calvin and shed some light on the tyrant king James. It's also the Bible used by the authors of the Mayflower Compact and also of our founding fathers of this country
