No doubt this is one of the most important works of 20th century Western evangelicalism. In our day, Christians are going soft on many of the issues raised in The Fundamentals, and this work should be required reading for a new generation of Biblically-wired evangelicals.

Great material. Wish I'd been able to get hold of it years ago. Still better late then never.

I have been reading one essay per week for the last three weeks. These essays form a solid rebuke to those liberal critics who consistently apply the ad hominen argument that evangelical and fundamentalist theologians are simple and unworthy of scholarly respect. The arguments and proof provided for the inspiration and historical accuracy of scripture are sound, nuanced, and invaluable to gospel apologists. These essays are edifying and they inspire me to worship God for revealing Himself in Scripture. The print quality is excellent and the two volumes look pretty sweet on my bookshelf. The only reason I didn't give these volumes a fifth star is because they are a century old; they need to be supplemented by current studies to provide a full picture of the debate between conservative and liberal scholarship.

An absolute MUST!!! Evangelicalism today is so compromised and unfaithful to the Bible and the Trinity this will help one stay on track. Some of the contributors are Arminians or Calvinists (I am NEITHER) but none of that really comes through. Definitely necessary and worth the price!!!

In an age where everything is disposable and where most books deal with things on a frivolous level the fundemetals stand out as books that are suitable for those who take their Christian faith seriously. They bring joy to the soul because their message is what we need to hear not what we want, they stick to the tried and tested path of biblical christianity and do not succumb to the spirit of this age. Their price is amazing and i am going to order a few more for friends who have been blessed by their content

I highly recommend this set of books. In fact, I have purchased 4 sets to give to friends. For anyone interested in the inerrancy of Scripture and for those that are sick to death of all this "higher criticism," that gets passed off as scholarship, this is the set for you. Each essay is approximately 20-25 pages long, very easy reading, and most importantly, refutes all the silly theories put forth by, in my opinion, these unbelieving scholars. If I had the authority I work make "The Fundamentals," mandatory reading in every seminary. Every single person interested in their faith, should have this set of books to constantly refer to. Do yourself a favor and not only own this set, but read and study it.

I have just started volume one and so far it is all that I thought it would be. And a great value on top of that.

Great books it gives the reader some biblical basis to the bible. One must always understand the words of God are the real truth and any other books are just written with that individual opinions on the words of our Lord, Jesus Christ and Holly Spirit.
