Product Information
Publisher's DescriptionThe first twenty-nine days outside of the prison walls are the most challenging days a person could face. The rejections, intimidation, fear, and not knowing how to navigate in society as a convicted felon unfortunately lead many men and women back to prison within the first sixty to ninety days. This book is dedicated to all those affected by the struggle: the victims who deserve restoration, the individuals who hadn't been given the necessary tools to live in this world, and those who don't know where to begin. It is a moving anthology of twenty personal memoirs told by former inmates and their loved ones.
Author BioThe First 29 Days was compiled and co-authored by Johnny L. Ellis and Abraham Rose. They are co-founders of His Rose, Inc., a not-for-profit dedicated to raising awareness of spiritual principles through personal ministry and inspired literature, offering "living proof" that God is alive and well, and that His Word is faithful and true. Ellis is an activist for social justice and community enlightenment as well as one of the formerly incarcerated. Rose is an ordained minister of Christ, author, poet, prophetess, speaker, classical pianist, and spiritual educator.
