Pamela4 Stars Out Of 5ESV BibleOctober 5, 2016PamelaQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 3Like thie quality and size. My only complaint is that the verse numbers are so small that they are difficult to read, even with reading glasses.
Odelia2 Stars Out Of 5updated reviewOctober 2, 2016OdeliaQuality: 5Value: 3Meets Expectations: 1I love the ESV translation Bible...and I have TRIED sticking with it, but I cannot. what were they thinking with the small print and YELLOW pages. Too hard on my eyes, for someone with astigmatism and Trifocals. This was a gift, but I will be searching for a better ESV copy.
Tennessee bear man5 Stars Out Of 5I love this bibleSeptember 13, 2016Tennessee bear manQuality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0I think the literary notes are the best I have ever read. It helps you understand what the writer is doing . It has very good definitions in the glossary for what the literature means and how the author of each book is using literary methods to communicate Gods word. If people used this literacy method there would be less exaggerations and distortions of meaning of passages. I look forward to reading them every day.
Sandy5 Stars Out Of 5Such a different way to study Gid's word.May 20, 2016SandyQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I love this Bible. Exploring and studying with it has opened my eyes to the vast range of literary devices used by the writers of the Bible to help us to gain not only knowledge and understanding of God's word, but also to engage us in developing a strong and saving relationship with Him. The literary introductions to each chapter and the glossary are particularly useful and informative. the book itself is of quite a lovely quality!
Alyce30909Age: 55-65Gender: Female2 Stars Out Of 5Not really liking this Bible.April 15, 2015Alyce30909Age: 55-65Gender: FemaleQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 2The quality of the actual construction is very good. But I do not like the yellow pages! Ugh! What were they thinking? It distracts from the pleasure of reading the book. And there is really not much "literary" information in the Bible. So what did I pay for? Just a cheap copy of the ESV....with very little extra info or help. I am disappointed. Will most likely give this one to Salvation Army in the very near future. Save your money and buy something better! Not worth sending back since it was just $15.00. Give it to someone who needs a basic good version of the Bible.
