My husband and I watched this movie and was very taken by it. The next morning we discussed how it really makes you wonder if we were standing before Jesus what would he tell us about how we are living. Would he be pleased or what changes do we need to make to please God and live life according to his plan for us. Very thought provoking. Watch and See! Loved it!
There is a scene where Jesus is asked about abortions, he gives some inane reply followed quickly by something akin to "I don't advocate violence toward the clinics or the staffs". That, as far as I am concerned is pure malarkey, are you going to tell me that Jesus is going to protect the property rights of killers over the lives of the innocents? That would be like Jesus telling us not to damage the crematoriums in Auschwitz!! Up until that point the movie was passable, after that statement, I turned it off.
What a wonderful movie. My Fiance and I watched this movie together and were touched by the different stories that unfolded in the diner. This movie has something that everyone can relate to and provokes thought about our lives, why we go through certain storms in life, and how much God truly cares about us.
This movie is AMAZING. God's hand is all over it! My one girlfriend and I are so blessed by its message. This movie means so much to me that I even gave it out as Christmas gifts to some of my family members who are slowly coming to Christ. TWO THUMBS UP!
Everything is great. I've been looking for this movie from a long time ago. Then I forget for years until I decide to ordered the ENCOUNTER and turn it on ... (gasp) there is, is what I'm looking for. Hooray!! Except the closed caption is so small that barely read. Can you make the big normal closed caption, before I re order the ENCOUNTER, please? or no? A big thanks for the ENCOUNTER. Vicki (deaf, English)
