ChristianBook eBooks on the Sony Reader
To read a Christianbook.com licensed eBook on your Sony device, you will need to use Adobe Digital Editions.
Without using ADE, the Sony Reader will attempt to open eBooks with its own software, the Reader Library, and you may receive an error message.
To bypass the Sony Reader Library, return to the eBook portion of 'My Account' on our site, and click to download the eBook again.
When the Adobe Digital Editions installer comes up, click on 'Download Item.'
If you are downloading a DRM Protected eBook, you will be prompted to open or save the URLLINK.acsm. Click 'Save'.
Save the file to your Desktop for quick access later.
Right-click on the URLLINK file, then select 'Open With' and choose Adobe Digital Editions.
If Adobe Digital Editions is not in the list, click 'Choose Default Program' and then select Adobe Digital Editions from the list.
Your eBook will open and display in ADE.
Plug in your Sony Reader, which will now display its model number and not just as Sony Reader.
Now just click, drag and drop your eBook onto the Sony Reader icon.
You can now eject your Sony Reader, open up the Books library and your eBook is ready to read.

Thank goodness for Mark. He always seems to be around with a shoulder to cry on. Then again, he's also always leaning in for a kiss. Could she really have a future with him? And what does the future hold anyway? College seems likely until a whirlwind trip to LA opens the door to a whole new world of opportunity in the music industry. Nothing is easy or simple in Beka's world. But one thing's for sure. As she tries to pick out melodies--on her guitar and her life--she also wants to keep her ears open to what God has to say.

Diane H. Pitts5 Stars Out Of 5March 20, 2006Diane H. PittsThe mailman brought my copy of The Encore, and I couldnt wait to dive in! What happens in the fifth and final episode of Becoming Beka? Eighteen year old Beka is torn between two loves; someone targets her for revenge; family dynamics heat up; and an unexpected twist catches Beka and the reader by surprise. Author Sarah Sumpolec doesnt tie up Bekas life in a neat package, but a strong message of God's hope lingers. Beka can't wait to see God's plan unfold, and I can't either. I hope thats why the author kept the door cracked for future possibilties. Maybe we wont have to say goodbye after all!
Shannon Primicerio5 Stars Out Of 5March 12, 2006Shannon PrimicerioI read all of The Encore in one day. I just couldn't put it down! This is the first book I have read in the Becoming Beka series, and it made me want to go back and read all of the rest. The Encore is both encouraging and entertaining. It is a must read for any girl who is fighting her way through all of the drama of high school life.
Eileen Zygarlicke5 Stars Out Of 5March 10, 2006Eileen ZygarlickeThe Encore is just that, a great ending to a superbly written series for teen girls. As a teacher and aunt, I've recommended and purchased this series for many teens struggling with the same issues Beka faces. Sumpolec does a terrific job with character development, allowing the reader to feel the pain Beka experiences. In The Encore, Beka knows in her heart she needs to decide about her relationships with two boys. The only downfall of this book would be that Sumpolec may have drawn out this decision and Beka's relationship with one of the boys a bit too long. However, the character development, tone, and pacing carry the reader for the most part. The problems Beka faces in this book are "real life" for Christian teens who desire to "fit in" to the world around them. Without being preachy, Sumpolec expresses her message of trusting God in terms teens will relate to.It was a fun ride to be part of Beka's life throughout this series. I look forward to seeing what Sumpolec writes next, knowing with confidence it will be something well written.
