(note: this is a review of the book I read on my Smartphone, not the DVD, but I am sure the DVD is just as excellent)
This is a beautiful bridge type book for children who have been brought up doing Easter Eggs and Egg Hunts. The pictures really highlight the story, and show up nicely on my Smartphone so I know they would be great in other larger formats. The plotting use of mystery and treasure hunts with clues along the way will appeal to children and adults who read to them.
Scripture is seamlessly woven into the story without being overbearing for those who are unfamiliar with it. I feel the approach will give an appreciation for Scripture and it will be a good starting point for introducing the Bible to some children who would not otherwise find reason to engage with it. I really liked the scrolls, but with the Smartphone, I did need a magnifying glass to help read the smaller print on the scroll. I think a child would like to do that, too, for the mystery and hidden factor that requires the special glass for reading what others can not see.
The themes of light and darkness and the love of God who sent Jesus to be in our world are easily understood in this book. I highly recommend this book. Bookfun.org provided this book for their readers for an honest review. I thank them and the author for this new resource that will be helpful in reaching children with the gospel.
Seasons of GraceAge: 35-44Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Fun Adventure book for kidsMarch 16, 2015Seasons of GraceAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Join Ana, Pascal and Zeke on a fun-filled adventure in search of a mysterious treasure. On an ordinary day, right before Easter, the kids, at mom's request, head up to the attic to look for a board game. But instead, they find a strange box and a glowing egg. Along with the egg are two scrolls, one containing a Scripture verse, and the other a clue. The egg takes them on an amazing adventure to various places where they have to hunt for more eggs as well as practice the verses given on the scrolls. Together, they learn the true meaning of Easter as well as what God expects from them. When they return home, they are all excited about telling others about Jesus, the Light of the World, and participating in the Glow in the Dark Egg hunt.
This book would be a great addition to any home as well as Sunday School program. Personally, I am considering using it with our class at church. Along with it, you can get glow-in-the-dark eggs for hunting at night. I have a set and they really do glow in the dark. My children were extremely excited about them. After reading this story to my kids, this is the reaction I got, "That was a good, good book!" I am confident we will be reading it many times over during this Easter season as well as future ones.

The artwork in this book is bright and colorful. The pictures draw the reader into the story as each step of the treasure hunt progresses. They greatly add to the enjoyment of the story.
I encourage parents to share this book with their children, not only at Easter but year-round.

The Scrolls have Bible verses and clues that lead them on a treasure hunt adventure to discover the true story of Easter. The books shares lessons on listening, being humble, being kind to others, and true friendship. It is wonderful to watch the characters change throughout the story.
My kids have been crazy about this book. I have read it aloud to them and all seven of my kids toddlers to teens have enjoyed the story. I also have had trouble locating the book in my home on several occasions as some of my children had "borrowed" it to read. The book is illustrated in animation style graphics that are very appealing. They enjoyed the pictures and were excited to see where the glowing egg was going to lead the kids.
The book is part of a bigger story that promotes glowing Easter eggs for nighttime Easter egg hunts. The profits from the sales of the books and eggs help support children around the world. I highly recommend this book.

Mrs ARS5 Stars Out Of 5A unique and memorable new tradition to celebrate EasterMarch 1, 2015Mrs ARSQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5The Egg-Cellent Easter Adventure is a storybook for kids about what Easter is all about. Told in a unique way, three children and their dog embark on a scavenger hunt of sorts when they find a treasure chest with a glowing Easter egg in their attic. The story was simple and easy to understand and the illustrations were bright and colorful and full of the life of the story. I liked the message this book promoted, of Jesus being the light in the world and that His light shines in the darkness. This story book is a companion to the Egglo glow-in-the-dark Easter egg hunts. I think that having an Easter egg hunt in the dark sounds like a novel and fun idea. With Easter coming soon this could make a memorable impression on a young child.
