Ecstasy, or extasis, is the Greek term for trance, and is linked with a pleasurable, God-given state of out-of-body experience recorded throughout the New Testament and the church age. Starting with the apostles ecstatic experiences on Pentecost, the Book of Acts further records trances in the lives of Peter and Paul. From the early church to the Christian mystics of the Middle Ages and the famous revivalists of centuries present, God s movements on the earth have always been marked by these supernatural experiences. In this book, John Crowder takes us on a journey from Old Testament ecstatic prophets such as Samuel and Elijah, to the future ecstatics who will usher in a massive wave of harvest Glory to the streets in these last days. God has always wanted a people who live in the Heavens, even as they walk on the Earth. And the world is hungry for the demonstration of a gospel of supernatural power that flows from a life of divine pleasure. More than a state of mind, you will see how the nature of God s ecstasy is found in the joy, bliss and inner raptures of His presence. In this book, you will be encouraged to drink from the river of His pleasure! (Ps. 36:8)
John Crowder is an itinerate revivalist, ministering in churches, conferences and events worldwide. John is a writer and founder of Sons of Thunder Publications. He carries a vision for global revival, with a strong focus on prophetic, healing and miracle evangelism.

Yes, there's joy, but if your outlook is "hey let's go get high on Jesus!" then you aren't a Christian for the right reason. Such people are "men of depraved mind and deprived of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain." (1 Timothy 6:5)
God is not always about the "now." This life is short. We should work toward our future goal which is to ensure our salvation and "work out our salvation with fear and trembling." (Phillippians 2:12)
Not saying you're going to hell for participating in Spiritual Drunkenness or Holy Laughter, but be careful that you still have the fear of the Lord and you hear His voice, and tremble.
Also, Crowder teaches you don't have to do anything for Jesus. If you believe that, then start reading your Bible more, guys. (2 Corinthians 5:9-11)

It clarifies the mystical and often passed over side of Christianity that even the internationally renowned prophets either pass over or have yet to see.
I literally re-read chapters and changed my mindset towards many things. This book is at the very least an interesting historical read, and at best a challenge to go deeper into the joy of the Lord.
It is not a hard or technical read, the writing is conversational and well phrased. My 14 yr. old could read it.
The Holy Spirit led me to it. I loved it, re-read the whole book, gave it away and bought another copy and re-read it again.
