The Divine Conspiracy--DVD
Outstanding Summary of the Book
The Divine Conspiracy is my favorite book so when I found this DVD version with both Dallas Willard and John Ortberg I was hopeful. The DVD fulfilled every hope. It captures the main themes of the book in a way that makes it possible to use with a class or small group that doesn't want to dig through every page and chapter of the book itself. I liked it so much I bought an extra copy to keep personally because I want to enjoy it over and over. I have learned much from Dallas Willard and feel like this DVD is a real blessing for all.

Great companion DVD to the Divine Conspiracy book.
Initially thought this was a video version of the book, but it should not be viewed without reading or planning to read the book alongside the video teaching. Dallas Willard has a gift for chosing exactly the right words to make difficult concepts more clear.

It is astounding that someone would regard Dallas and John talking about the issues central to The Divine Conspiracy as dry! It was hearing Dallas Willard that gave me the determination to read him. There is a glut of "brilliant" people, and Dallas may be brilliant, but Dallas is gentle and good humored; and his mind is quick. John Ortberg presents questions you and i would ask Dallas if we weren't too overwhelmed by this man who has thought through big issues, but practices the discipline of putting his thoughts in small words. The production quality is superb. This video is ideal for a group reading through The Divine Conspiracy together and discussing the big ideas it contains. I love Dallas Willard also, but only because he first showed love in the way he handled questioners in groups and individuals in one-on-one encounters. His character shines through in this video as does that of his friend John Ortberg.

I love Dallas Willard. He is probably my favorite writer. However, he is very, very dry to listen to. The DVD was basically a pastor asking Dallas what he though of certain sections, which I didn't find helpful at all, and very boring. I highly recommend the book The Divine Conspiracy; however I would stay away from the DVD.
