The Cross by Arthur Blessitt is a terrific book! What a wonderful testimony to pen an inspiring, but rocky 38-year journey to LITERALLY bring the cross to every nation on the earth. This non-fiction triumph is loaded with beautiful photographs chronicling the epic event. Wonderful stories share the journey of the man and his family, Christ and the cross and the conversations to which this spectacular undertaking led.I was particularly touched by the power of perspective. For example, one mans normal is anothers horrifying awakening to a train rumbling by his bed. This unique lifestyle on the road is beautifully shared through personal tales from the author and others. The chapters are assembled thematically rather than chronologically, which seemed confusing at first, but actually contributed to the overall experience of being moved by this book. The handwriting font used throughout adds to the personal feel of reading the journal of the author.Arthur Blessit has shared the gospel of Christ with every people group through his actions, words, and inspiration of others to follow in his footsteps. I found myself weeping joyfully several times during my journey with this life-changing book. This is a MUST READ for every Christian who questions whether their service is valuable and for every non-Christian to know the heart and desire of Jesus Himself to be known by all men. Thank you, Arthur, for hastening His return to take us home!
