I love doing Precept Bible Studies by Kay Arthur. This book helps me to determine the Greek tense, mood, and voice of the verbs in the New Testament. It has been a big help in understanding the meaning of Scripture when you learn certain ways in which words are used in the language the Bible was written in.

I received this book as a Christmas gift and I absolutely love it. I wanted a better understanding of the Scriptures as they were originally written, but I was not sure about taking a class in biblical Greek. With the way I do studies, this book, used with my other bible translations is much more fun for me in my studies than sitting in a two or four hour class to learn the language. I recommend this book to anyone who desires a deeper understanding of the Scriptures and to truly know what God was really saying when he spoke these words to those who penned them

This is the best book on the New Testament in language study I've ever seen. I'm no expert on the Bible's original languages, but Spiros Zodiates is, and he's got to be the best language scholar today. Every time I buy a copy of this I find a young preacher in need and give it to them and have to buy another copy. This book is a MUST have for any pastoral library. It's easy to use and surpasses all the computer programs I've used to conduct word-studies as well. I've donated my entire library to young preachers, but then have had to re-order this book! Don't forget its companion, The Complete Word Study Old Testament. I'll never regret spending the low price to purchase the books by Zodiates.

This is a fantastic reference and I cannot recommend it highly enough. The format of the main portion is superb. The King James text is presented in standard order with the Strong reference numbers and a note for the part of speech (noun, verb, etc.) appear above the King James text. Passages with special significance have an explanation directly on the page and words in Greek which are particularly significant are printed in bold type indicating that they are expanded upon in a special section created by the author to bring more detail to the reader. Strong's New Testament dictionary is included for convenience, but I would recommend that the user have a copy of Strong's available for convenience. If you are looking for a reference to learn more about the actual text of the scripture, buy this without hesitation.

I have found this book to the most extensive word study and cross referencing study tool around! I love the ability to locate the usage of the words in certain passages and find references to other passage where the exact same usage is used. I also found the lists of synonyms and antonyms the icing on the cake for the purpose of clarification. This book is a MUST have for any serious student of the Bible! Blessings, Dawn Irons
