I recieved this book as a gift from one of my friends in church and its great. I love that this book, it not only gives the lyrics to the hyms that we love so much, but also the story behind them. I think that hearing about the author and the circumstances that led to the birth of the hymn gives a deeper level of understanding and allows us to appreciate them even more. I was so excited when i found the hymn 10 thousand angels because i had been looking for it for a while. I used to hear this hymn all the time when i spent time with my grandmotnher. Its a really great book to have for those who are worshippers and leaders because the stories behind the hymns bring even greater understanding of where they came from and why we sing them.
