The Church: Called and Collected CD
Rich, Reformed, theology to phat beats!
It's little wonder that 'Reformed Rap' is getting more of an airing with a CD like this. Highlights: 'Expository Preaching', 'Membership', 'Biblical Theology'.

Lyrical Theology on the Church
For those that may shun hip-hop as a form of worship or honoring God, these rappers have shown in past projects their love for God, their theological understanding of scripture, and their desire to feed the flock of Christ. This is so needed in these days where truth is not valued and the church is being watered down to cater to the unsaved instead of feeding the sheep. This CD explains the marks of a true church, explaining discipleship, preaching, the offices, evangelism, etc. Every song is hard hitting and spiritually convicting, not trying to sugarcoat the issue that most of our American churches, in one way or another, don't follow the Bible, but their own traditions. When you hear Shai Linne's Expostitory Preaching or Stephen the Levite's song on membership or Trip Lee's song on conversion or any of the other songs, you will find yourselves examining your walk and the Church itself, because we are the body of Christ and the Bible shows us how we are supposed to act as that body. This Cd will truly help to guide the believer back to the truth of God's word and purposes. I highly recommend it and pray that many will buy it and be enriched by the way it points you to the truth of God. Not for the faint of heart, but you will be joyfully convicted and blessed.

This is one of the best Christian rap albums made.
This is music with a definite message! This album is based on the principles of 9 Marks Ministries and the book written by Pastor Mark Dever, "9 Marks Of A Healthy Church". Quality musical production and not repetitious. Packed with theological truth, this album can be useful to assist in discipleship and as an outreach to those who are curious about Christianity and have an interest in rap music.

The lyrics are solid and right on. It could make some believers a little uneasy, because they go straight to the heart of each subject and thoroughly explain a lot of things that aren't talked about much today in churches; but then again, the truth offends sometimes. It was very encouraging.
