I have some serious questions about what this ‘Bible'

      teaches children:

Page 206: ‘Jesus was Jewish'? Not according to the Bible. He was the founder of Christianity.

Page 207: ‘Jesus proclaimed himself the ‘Son of God'. Never! He said ‘peacemakers' are ‘children of God'.

Page 211: Luke and Mark are omitted as ‘Apostles'. ??? Yet there are still 12?

Page 216: ‘Insure' instead of ‘Ensure'? Speak English? Lousy proofreading! Two entirely different terms.

Page 217: ‘Jewish leaders' instead of ‘Hebrew priests'. ‘Leaders' of the day were ‘Pharisees'; under Roman rule.

Page 238: ‘Jesus called himself, ‘The Good Shepherd'. Not in the Bible. ‘Call no one good but God'.

Page 246: ‘Jesus said, ‘These are my children'. Not in the Bible.

I've sent the author an email, but she doesn't seem to be

      concerned about these glaring errors

I love this Children's Bible. I have purchased a couple different Children's Bibles in the past as gifts. I believe this one is great for Children who are a little bit older and even for adults! So much historical information and pictures. The Introduction section of the book gives tons of information from :The Five Books of Moses, The Dead Sea Scrolls, The Ten Commandments, The Ark of the Covenant and The Tabernacle. Actual photos as well as drawings.

We bought this book for both of our kids when they were young and now get it to give as gifts. The illustrations are beautiful and the extra information is helpful for adults as well as kids.
