tom5 Stars Out Of 5This was one of two commentary books that made me 100% ChristianMarch 20, 2018tomQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I read the Gospels and the New Testament when I was 18. I loved the message of Jesus and always considered myself a Christian, but was never 100% sure about the resurrection. of course you could say, how could I be a Christian if I didn't believe in the resurrection but that's another essay. After reading this book I was certain about the resurrection because I realize that it would have been impossible for the apostles to live and preach the risen Jesus for the next several decades until martyrdom had they not personally witnessed the risen Jesus. And then of course there's Paul. In another book that I also read at the same time by a woman who is an attorney and who presented the evidence in that form, it was mentioned that the best witness is one who is disinterested but in the case of Paul he was actually someone who was persecuting the church and then he converted. The last missing piece for my total faith in Jesus was placed into the completed puzzle because of this book. The resurrection is one of the hardest things to believe in if you are of a modern mind. I always had people who are skeptics asking me, Tom, but do you really believe in the resurrection? It is a wonderful joy to be able to tell them yes, and why. This book will give you the why.

Good for whose want to begin at apologetics side, a very clear language. Good for whose want to continue develop apologetics, has a lot of endnotes with a wonderful material... Benjamin Williamson5 Stars Out Of 5January 10, 2010Benjamin WilliamsonI have not read a more thorough defense of the resurrection of Christ! This honestly has been an extremely valuable investment and I would recommend it to anyone who is serious about the subject and gaining personal insight on how to communicate it to someone who either raises questions because of curiosity or simply is a skeptic who wants to debate. Even though I am not (academically speaking) a historian, there are some things about history that I think are necessary to mention for people who are skeptical about it. Before we can ever discuss a person of the past, we must always begin with historical records (documents, biographies, etc) and even what archaeology says about it. Some say that we cannot know history because we don't have absolute proof of it. The weakness of this belief is that no one hardly lives that way. But anyways this book is such an encouragement to me and it will give you a solid education on the Resurrection of Jesus Christ!

Sean Golden5 Stars Out Of 5October 3, 2009Sean GoldenThis book is absolutely brilliant! It lays out all the arguments that skeptics have about the Resurrection and they give answers that completely throws the skeptics arguments out the door. This is a must read & will help you be able to defend Christ's resurrection.

Brad5 Stars Out Of 5March 11, 2008BradThis was a very convincing book for me. Habermas and Licona are probably two of the best (if not the two best) on the subject of the resurrection. The five facts they use on the resurrection are practically indestructible for critics and skeptics alike. This was a tremendous faith builder, and a must read!
