This is a great story. It's not a feel good book, though and you may want to be cautious with especially young children. There are fights amongst the dogs and other violent content also there is a place where a husband and wife are together and a hint of sexual content also some mild language. It's a book that's good to read by a Mom or Dad to their children, that way some things can be "edited" if need be. It's still written so well and worth it if discretion is used. We loved it, but I do wish I had known about some of the content.
