Another good book from Ted Dekker that I found hard to put down. He is good at creating psychotic characters, and the killer was definitely crazy. I really like his stories. I was disappointed that he didn't save one of the characters who interacted with the main character, Brad, just because he allowed the reader to come to know her. But, overall, it was a good read.
Although I had heard of fellow Texan Ted Dekker and saw his books at the stores, I had never read a chapter of his work until now. Before I finished The Bride Collector, I had already bought four other Dekker books. If youve never ready a Dekker novel, hell quickly set the tone of what to expect in the first few pages. He is very descriptive and will stretch your imagination. He develops his characters well, FBI Special Agent Brad Raines, forensic pathologist Nikki Holden, and the residents at CWI, a psychiatric institution for highly gifted, yet mentally ill residents. Its a thriller that might teach you something about yourself along the way. I highly recommend The Bride Collector.
