Product Description

What are the best things in life? Questions like that boggle our minds. But they don't boggle Socrates. What would happen if the indomitable old Greek suddenly awoke and brought his unending questions to the campus of Desperate State University? Peter Kreeft imagines that with him would come the same mind-opening and spirit-stretching challenges that disrupted ancient Athens. 189 pages from IVP.

Editorial Reviews

"Any reader sitting down to persue these dialogues . . . [will] find himself roused, amused, entertained and instructed. Peter Kreeft does what all great teachers do: he returns us, again and again and again, to what T. S. Eliot called 'the permanent things.' "
"Kreeft has succeeded admirably in his revival of Socrates. . . . Kreeft's Socrates [is] recognizably the gadfly moralist, irreverent and reverent about just the right things."

INVALUABLE!! I have been studying apologetics for years and never before have I read a writer as adept as Kreeft. His ability to convey complex systems of thought in simple dialogue form has changed my entire mode of thinking and teaching apologetics. In this book, Kreeft takes on the current trends of humanism, hedonism, and pragmatism and reduces them to dust without ever posting a point. He simply QUESTIONS THEM, and lets logic do all the work! Kreeft will blow you away! I can't recommend this book or this author enough. God bless you, Peter!
