My son loves the outside pockets, etc. but main issue is the bible constantly falls out. The flaps / pockets that hold the front and back cover of the bible are not deep enough. The case itself is the correct size for the dimensions of The Adventure Bible - however, the design for the inside pockets is poor.
It makes my grandson feel grown up, having a Bible cover, and at the same time, geared for his age. Not only is it nice-looking, it is made to last until he outgrows the theme. I definitely recommend it.
The kids love it. It has pockets for their things and a small notebook. They use the notebook to write down their prayer list for the week. They also noticed the Fish symbol on the zipper. We had learned about the Fish symbol earlier in the year and it was meaningful for them.
My son has had this Bible cover for about 4 years and it still is in great condition. He stuffs the outer mesh pocket full of pens and puts his Bible and Sunday School papers inside.
It is made specifically for the NIV Adventure Bible, which my son has, but would probably fit many other medium/large kids' Bibles. (Just check the dimensions if you're planning to do that.) In any case, it's a very useful, good-looking Bible cover for boys and I recommend it!
It's ok, but we had to remove the sewn rubber logo
February 4, 2011
We didn't notice that it said NIV on logo, by looking at the photo, nor did the description tells us it included the abbreviation "NIV" with the words "Bible Adventure". We use KJV, the Bible based on the Received Text ( non corrupt manuscripts). it's the Bible for English speaking people. We were disappointed to see NIV advertised on logo. We took the stitches out and tossed the logo in the trash to avoid the expense of returning the two covers, we purchased for our kids. There are little stitch holes that show in oval form from the removal of the logo. Other than that issue, the case has good
storage areas and the kids love 'm. In my opinion , they would
be better sold without Logos for those that exclusively use KJV
or better to have made clear in description that the logo also
reads "NIV". Then we would have made a different selection.
