Wonderful for new believers
I was introduced to this book 35 years ago when I was a new believer, and it was a great help in the basics of the Christian life. I enjoy the straight forward approach, which takes the subject of the Christian walk seriously, but also joyfully.

It is great for a babe in Christ
This workbook is small, I thought it would be bigger. The workbook contents itself are good for someone who is new to being a born again Christian. Good for a beginner Study group.

I was introduced to "The Abundant Life" by a former pastor. This book presents the foundational tenents of Christianity very clearly and plainly. The power of this book is in using it in a one-on-one discipleship study. In the book, Baughman presents a New Testament reading schedule that is powerfully arranged. By reading 22 chapters a week (3 chapters on six days and 4 chapters on the seventh) you can read through the NT in 12 weeks (by the time you finish the 12 lessons (one lesson per week) of the book. Baughman has also selected verses that are to be memorized: regular verses and "extra-blessing" verses. Reading the lessons and answering and discussing the questions at the end of each lesson, reading the assigned chapters in the NT and memorizing ALL the verses suggested by Baughman will revitalize your Christian faith, whether you are a new believer or a seasoned Christian veteran. I would highly recommend this to any believer, especially if you go though this with another, either as the leader or as the learner.
