Author (with Dean Nelson) of Quantum Leap: How John Polkinghorne Found God in Science and Religion
In the clear and candid prose his readers appreciate, John Polkinghorne takes bottom-up thinking from his scientific background and applies it as a priest to the Bible. The result is a level-headed and winsome argument for the high value of Scripture. Along the way, Polkinghorne addresses pressing issues facing Christian interpreters of the Bible today.

J Robert Brown, Jr.1 Stars Out Of 5No Conservatives AllowedDecember 15, 2014J Robert Brown, Jr.BEWARE! Although it appears from reading the book that Dr. Polkinghorn is a true believer, he also appears to value his "higher-critical" tradition more than he trusts the reliability of scripture, and shows disdain for those who hold to Biblical Inerrancy. (Bibliolatry is not a fair description of the Chicago Statement on Biblical Inerrancy). Chapter 7 is, on the other hand, a nice summary of reasons for belief. However, for a more thorough exploration of the scriptures, I might suggest reading something by Norm Geisler or Kenneth Kithchen.
