Publisher Description

“If books were priced according to the linguistic care with which their sentences were assembled, Tell It Slant would be priceless. Eugene Peterson strikes forcefully at theological abstraction and sentimental godtalk, offering a provocative treatise on the conversational giftedness of Jesus. . . . A compendium of marvelous insights for rethinking our own expressions of faith.” — Peter W. Marty Grace Matters Radio

The fourth part of Peterson’s momentous work on spiritual theology provides an intimate look at the language of Jesus and how that should translate to our everyday speech.

This helpful study guide is designed to enable small groups in schools or churches — or even individuals — to delve deeper into the timely wisdom of Tell It Slant. Peterson’s discussion is here broken up into twenty “sessions,” each of which contains a summary, quotations to consider, questions for interaction, and a suggested activity, ending with prayer.
