Teknon and the Champion Warriors
A neat way to have "THE TALK" with your son
Wouldn't it be nice to have an easy way for fathers to have "The Talk" with their sons?
An old evil is once again gathering strength and threatening the peaceful world of Basileia, and it is up to a small group of CHAMPION warriors to save the day.
The letters to the word CHAMPION form an acrostic:
Each of the warriors subscribes heart and soul to the tenets of this code. Each member of the squad has a unique talent that adds to the team's overall strength and effectiveness. And their personalities are as diverse as their gifts.
The team leader, Kratos, has deeper motive for this mission though: it is time for his teenaged son, Teknon, to join the ranks of the CHAMPION warriors. But this is no easy task. The qualifications are rigorous, the demands strenuous, and the challenges nearly insurmountable. Is his son ready to be a man?
The acrostic forms a basic outline for the story. One by one, Teknon faces situations where he either learns or demonstrates mastery of these character qualities essential to every good man. The other members of the squad help to mentor him on his journey.
The genre is science fiction, but the Christian parallels are obvious, even more so to those who look up the meanings of the Greek names employed throughout: from Pneuma (the great Spirit), to Magos (the evil wizard), to the Logos (the collection of all wisdom).
This story is a powerful tool for a father and son to use to explore what it means to be a man. Every man will identify with the trials Teknon faces, and will see himself in this coming-of-age adventure. The quest for manhood is a lifelong pursuit, one that we should never have to face alone.
The illustrations in this book are amazingly detailed and captivating. Professional comic artist, Sergio Cariello, brings the book to visual life with his muscle-bulging portrayals of each of the characters. His art is bold and vivid, the perfect match for this inspiring story. Each drawing draws the reader in to discover more and more about this fantastic, yet hauntingly real world.
WHO SHOULD READ THIS BOOK?
All fathers of swiftly growing sons.

An Epic Adventure
This book is thrilling to read, even for the non-reader in your home. It's exciting, but it also teaches along the way. It's also not hard to read a chapter at a time, because each chapter deals with a different character trait: Courage, Honor, Attitude, Mental toughness, Purity, Integrity, Ownership, and Navigation. Through an action-packed adventure story, your son will learn how to be a CHAMPION Warrior.
