Practical! Lived-through! Real! I wish Id had this book when my children entered their teen years. At that time, I got mostly roll-your-eyes advice on the level of Mark Twains quip that you confine them to a barrel and feed em through a knot hole. Andpray, pray, pray. Yes, you pray, pray, pray. But you also seek understanding about their maturing minds and bodies, as this book offers. From the section about brain development (which explains why they sometimes never act as old as they look) to ways to help teens develop healthy world views, this book is a great resource. Get two copiesone for yourself, and one to pass among friends.
