After becoming increasingly frustrated with another method for our elementary textbook for mathematics, I needed to find an alternative. I came across Teaching Textbooks at a homeschool curriculum fair a few years ago and resolved to use it when my children were in high school. The way that it is broken down, I could have used it in 8th grade instead of waiting for freshman year. The lessons are concise, well-written and easy to understand. The concepts are broken down into manageable pieces. I did not purchase the CDs, but if they are as comprehensive as the text, I'm sure they would be a wonderful addition to our homeschool library. I'd give it five stars if it were completely independent, but there is still some guidance needed from a parent.

My son loves math, and loves Teaching Textbooks. He completed Algebra 2 without the CD-ROMS and is enthusiastically working through Pre-Calculus, also without the CD-ROMS. He enjoys the work, and rarely needs help. I expect I will be using Teaching Textbooks for all my children at all levels available. It is very popular at my house!

My 16 year old son has always found math difficult and even had a hard time understanding it when he took math at a private school. I finally splurged on this curriculum after my sister reccommended it. My son says his Algebra 2 is "too easy" and after only a few weeks was able to tutor an honor student at a public school with her Algebra 2. This product is excellent!

This is my first year of homeschooling. My daughter hated math and really struggled with it in public school. The day we received the Algebra I Teaching Textbook Set, she completed 5 lessons - a whole week's worth - because she enjoyed it so much. Thsi porgram is really helping to build her math confidence! She is doing well and likes the fact that the solutions, not just the answers, are available for every single problem that is presented. I love it because I don't have to be able to explain why an answer isn't correct or how to do it correctly - it is all there on the CD-ROM! A++ (You need to purchase the WHOLE SET to receive all the benefits of this program.)
