My daughter has dyslexia and we have tried many different math programs and she struggled with all of them, until we found Teaching Textbooks. It is so easy for her to follow and understand. She actually likes math. I highly recommend Teaching Textbooks to everyone!
I placed this review in Algebra I because this is where our family started using Teaching Textbooks. I regret not starting sooner. The cost scared me, but IT IS WORTH IT! We should have started long before. Our oldest struggled with math all through his childhood. Even though he easily memorized his facts, the working out of math never came easy. I was despairing. He was despairing. I thought he'd never make it through a high school level math course. After trying several of the most loved homeschool math programs (one of which absolutely confused him) we turned to TT. We found out immediately that it was far ahead of our local school system in requirements. He was able to review the lecture and practice over and over. This is exactly what he needed! He had to view some lectures 3 times and so his progress was slow, but he finally got the things he'd been missing. The lessons are so thorough. The pressure is removed from the parent. No more tears. No more parent/child relationship stress. He is starting to get math and has taken TT Geometry and is taking TT Algebra II and gets scores in the 80s on his first try at lessons. His confidence has bloomed and he is actually looking forward to taking some math in community college next year. He feels he is maybe a math person after all. We have since switched all of our homeschool math curriculum over to TT. I can't give these programs enough praise!
I have had a great deal of stress, and feeling very inept. This program was a hugh relief, and now I find myself wondering around looking for something to do. It shows them completely, how to complete the lesson. I strongly recommend this program. I liked this program so much for my girls, I bought the 6th grade version for my son.
