When it comes to computers, if you can wait long enough, you might just end up with the most cutting-edge technology for less money than you once paid for your old electric typewriter! Well, this principle often holds true with homeschool curriculum, too.
Just when I thought things couldn’t get any better, I found Algebra 1 & 2: Teaching Textbooks at the 2004 Wichita, Kansas, homeschool convention, where Karen and I were speaking. While walking the busy exhibit aisles, I spied a large PC monitor graphically teaching the concepts of algebra. Co-creator Greg Sabouri explained to me the uniqueness of this course.
1) No more guessing! Every example from the lesson lectures and every practice and homework problem from the accompanying student text are clearly and colorfully explained step by step and solved right before our eyes on the monitor.
2) This program was written exclusively for homeschool students and parents, so it has a friendly unstuffy tone.
3) You get 129 lessons, thousands of problems, and over 100 hours of audiovisual instruction on the CDs!
This is a truly affordable alternative to a personal tutor, proving that good things do come to those who wait.654-page spiralbound student textbook with 111-page answer key and test books; 3 CD-ROMs for lecture and practice; 4 CD-ROMs for solution explanations.

We have been blessed by this excellent math curriculum. My kids no longer dread doing their math. Every new school year, they're so happy I've ordered Teaching Textbooks.

Wow!!!
What a difference this curriculum has made in math, not one of our favorite subjects.
My daughter actually said she likes math now!
That has never happened in all of her years of schooling.
I love that the curriculum is reusable. That makes the cost a much better value. I will be using it again for my son in a few years.
I am seriosly thinking of ordering the seventh grade version for him this year, if things do not improve in our current curriculum.
Thank you so much for a program that helps homeschooling be less of a chore and so much more enjoyable

I wish I had known about this product sooner. I have homeschooled for over 8 years and it is one of the best math curriculums I have seen. It is very user friendly, clear, and easy to understand. I highly recommend this product to anyone.

Described in explicit detail. Well explained. Easy to follow and understand. Gradual. An excellent work. May the Lord continue helping good teachers who help their neighbors.

Our family has been using Teaching Textbooks for a few years now with great success. No question, we'll be using it through high school. My 7th grade daughter would tell you it was a life-saver for her. Getting her to do math was almost impossible and she wasn't understanding what she did do. On top of that, she wanted to do it on her own - a little difficult with most math programs! I started her in Math 7. Now she does it on her own 90% of the time and she "gets" it! Yeah!!

My son and I absolutely love this curriculum! He is able to get through Algebra 1 and move to his next subject with few questions. This is very clear and concise and my help isn't required for more than grading and reviewing.
