Product Description

Counselor Tina Milano has been visiting Milly's Tea Shop regularly for the past several months. She has many friends but no steady man in her life. Zack Cooper is a local farmer who provides Milly with fresh fruit and vegetables. As a single parent, Zach is doing his best to raise his teenage son and daughter on his own.

When the kids get in minor scrapes with the law, Milly gently encourages Zack and Tina to work together to draw the teens back before their rebellious natures land them in even hotter water. At first Tina sees the relationship in only a professional capacity, but soon her friends notice the luscious scent of romance in the air and decide to help things along.

In Trish Perry's Tea for Two, unlikely strangers find their lives suddenly intertwined. Counselor Tina Milano takes on the challenge of Zack Cooper and his troublesome children. What begins as a purely professional relationship develops into something much more. Will either one admit to theses new feelings, or will both wait until it's too late?

Tea for Two is spoken through the perspectives of Tina and Zack, giving the reader equal access to the two main characters’ true feelings. Tina and Zack are immediately attracted to one another upon first glance, and they are greatly surprised when they finally meet and discover who they are. Because Tina becomes Zack and his children’s counselor, they fight to subdue their true feelings of affection for one another. Zack and his children’s journey to healing is a bumpy road, but they rediscover what it means to be a family and what it means to have real relationships with God.

Tina meets weekly with a group of women at Millicent's Tea Shop, owned by the warmhearted Milly. Milly knows the trouble her produce supplier, Zack, is having with his teenagers and asks Tina to help. In a covert operation, Tina and Zack pretend to be friends so the children will not scared away by Tina's title of "counselor." However, their fake relationship quickly becomes real, and feelings of friendship turn into feelings of romance. Despite their intense emotions, neither party reveals so until it is almost too late.

Leviticus 19:18 says, "Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone among your people, but love your neighbor as yourself." Tina and Zack's relationship is not perfect, but they chose to forgive one another for previous acts of indifference.

This book had an interesting storyline with good morals and sound biblical truths. Although not stylistically impressive and at times rambling, preteens up to elderly women will enjoy this book if looking for an easy plot filled with romance. Feel free to poor a cup of tea (or two) and enjoy Tea for Two. – Kyla M. Martin, www.ChristianBookPreviews.com
