Disappointed, to say the least
April 29, 2016
I was disappointed with how skewed of a perspective on "taking care of the earth" this author had, mainly in in her tone throughout the book. It reeks of self-righteous judgment against anyone who is not extreme in their conservation of natural resources. The activities are mainly about being the "nature police" by giving people tickets if they are not following her rules about how to take care of nature (yes, including going up to random strangers and putting tickets on their car windshield for idling).
I do think we all could do a better job taking care of this world God has created, but I think personal responsibility would go a lot farther than primarily trying to teach your kids to go out and tell everyone else how they are wrong.
I ended up throwing away the book; I am normally adverse to throwing away books, but this is one I couldn't even pass on for free.
