I hadn't realized the new series was already out, but finding this book in the library and being a Karen Kingsbury fan (for the most part)I checked it out. It was ok. Definitely not her best work. The message was good, but the Cody/Tim/Bailey love triangle is getting REALLY OLD!!!!! I think that Cody and Bailey are both being silly and I'm not really that into Tim. The new characters were kinda hard to get used to as well. I hope the second book is better!
As usual, Karen Kingsbury had me hooked with the first few sentences of this novel. I so enjoyed it! I love the way Ms. Kingsbury incorporates Christian standards/morals/character into her stories. Ms. Kingsbury also gives me an "aha" moment(or several "aha" moments) that makes me face my own wrongdoing &/or thinking in ways that are not so obvious to me. I can hardly wait for the sequel to be delivered to me in June!I recommend this author to anyone who has not had the pleasure of enjoying her novels.
Karen Kingsbury is one of the best Christian writers that I have read. Her series leaves you wanting to read the next book as soon as you can get your hands on it! I love how she weaves God throughout each series. I always know no matter what sorrow is in the story that good things will happen because of belief in God's will in each person's life. I also love that she is using characters from previous series so I can keep up with what they are doing!
This was an exceptional book. Once again Karen Kingsbury has taken us from our own lives into the lives of the characters in the book. The only problem I have with her books, is; I have to read the whole thing at once. I can't put them down at night and start again in the morning. I have to stay up and finish them as soon as I start. I look forward to reading Take Two.
