cricketGender: female2 Stars Out Of 5Stressful readJanuary 12, 2016cricketGender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 4Meets Expectations: 2Some parts of this story line are very familiar, like some of it was taken from another book I've read. This book was stressful to read in that the female character couldn't be pleased. She made the male character make all the concessions, shutting him out, dragging him along, which made him the weaker of the two in this couple. She finally gives them their chance at the end of the book. If you are looking for an enjoyable read to relax with, this is not the book.

Evelyn FAge: 18-24Gender: female4 Stars Out Of 5November 11, 2011Evelyn FAge: 18-24Gender: femaleQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 5This book reminded me a little bit of Fools Rush In by Janice Thompson. There's this big family who came from a different country (in this case Greece) following the american dream. They are loud and maybe a little bit crazy, but they love and take care of each other. In this book the main male character is from that family and the main female is a friend of the family. This story talks about learning to trust other people, not judging them for what they look like, and allowing yourself to love even though you might be afraid of what the future might hold, etc.
I truly enjoyed this book, it's a nice and light read with likable characters; just perfect for a day at the beach.
The Phantom ParagrapherTauranga, New ZealandAge: 18-24Gender: female4 Stars Out Of 5If you are wanting a nice light read this is it :)March 27, 2011The Phantom ParagrapherTauranga, New ZealandAge: 18-24Gender: femaleQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4Review: Sweet Baklava - Debby Mayne - March 2011
Wanting a novel that has romance and greek food and lots of celebrating ? Sweet Baklava takes us into the heart of Greek Community in Tarpon Springs , Florida. They are all preparing in celebration for the return of Nick Papadopoulos - who has spent the past two years in the Air Force . After graduating college, he ran to the airforce leaving behind Paula who was smitten for him. Now Two years later , Paula owns a successful soap and candle business and nearing Christmas things in the shop are looking up and that's going to be the excuse she uses throughout the novel to stop her from getting reunited with Nick. However the Papadopoulous family have other ideas up their sleeves as they plan ways to rekindle and matchmake Paula and Nick together. Will they succeed in bringing the pair together as it proves time and time throughout the novel that without each other -to be corny "their lives are incomplete".
A very light-hearted chick lit novel that in ways brings to light the thought that thank goodness you are not greek , as their matchmaking skills includes the whole clan chipping in.
