Interesting and challenging is how I would describe this book. I honestly cannot say for sure if what was written is new to me or was a much needed reminder, perhaps presented in a different way. In recent months, I would describe my life as boring and believing that God has so much more for us on this earth. This book reinforces that and challenges to go forward with Godco-laboring with Him to do big things.

Author and pastor Bill Johnson has a strong heritage in the Christian life that powers his desire to encourage others to think outside the box and tap into the power of the Holy Spirit. His book, The Supernatural Power of a Transformed Mind, addresses the promises God has made to His people and the abilities we as Christian have to perform miracles if only we will trust in those very promises.
He urges us to embrace a new normal in our churches where miracles become a part of everyday life rather than the exception. He challenges us to lay claim to the words we pray in The Lords Prayer: that Gods will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.
The book cites several examples of miraculous healings, not only of the body, but of those who have been living with emotional brokenness. Mr. Johnson explains how students at his school of ministry are trained to watch for signs of need on the streets, not only in churches. We need to stop limiting ourselves to the finite restrictions we have learned to accept and embrace the reality of a living, powerful God.
This change of mind begins with repentance, giving our sins to God, receiving his forgiveness, and entering into a state of renewal. Further steps are cited that facilitate a communion between the will of God in heaven and the accomplishment of Gods will here on earth.
This book was easy to read. I have to admit that it also caused me to rethink some of my fundamental beliefs while challenging me to move into a different relationship with God than I had previously pursued.
I would recommend the book to those who seek evidence and encouragement that Gods will is being executed here on earth through miraculous occurrences and who hope to see a reformation within the church.
