John Trent is a master at the delicate balance of teaching biblical truths to kids and making them laugh. Who else could have written about the best swamp ever-filled with animals that dont normally belong together-like hippos and crabs, alligators and bunnies, yet who are the best of friends? Kids will laugh at the absurdity of hippos hogging, alligators snapping at bunnies who brush their teeth, and frogs who steal licks off others ice cream cones. But it is the "Superhero Maker" with the big GMUASH on his costume who turns things around. The animals finally learn that it is best to treat each other with love and respect, the way God intended. One last question - what does GMUASH mean? God Made Us All Superheroes!

This book features animals that don't usually get along who one day are disrupted by the hippos who decided not to share the swamp which leads to a host of other problems until one day the fateful prayer goes up and out of the blue along comes the superhero superhero-maker. In the end, the animals learn that the costumes they put on did not make them superheroes but rather that they reminded them of the good qualities they had all along. God Makes Us All Super Heroes.

What a neat book. My grandson and my best friend's grandson will love this book. A great book that builds on their interests and teachs them love and respect for others as they enjoy reading. The stickers are a wonderful bonus that will remind them God made them a superhero too when they reflect these compassionate character traits.

Love it! We read it many time together since it arrived. I like the ending, clearly stated to our little one, what lesson learned, without me telling them.
