I thought it was sad but still uplifting. I did recommend it to a friend from church that had a baby that died shortly after birth. I think that it is a good lesson to know that life is important no matter how short or long it is that abortion is not the answer and God has a plan for our lives in the good times and the bad times. I love the Baxter books with all their problems and how God speaks to them and reassures them that He is always there to help them through their problems.
This whole series has been one of the best that I have ever read. They make you laugh and cry in the same book. The Baxter family draws you in and you just want to be there experiencing God's amazing love and the answer to their prayers. It's amazing to see how they hear God's voice through gentle whispers, through God's Word and through each other.
This series of books is wonderful--couldn't put them down. Karen Kingsbury is an author that God is using to show how He meets the needs of people in all walks of life! Look forward to reading more of her books!
Get your hankies out! Ive loved Karen Kingsbury's Baxter series & this one continues to show her incredible ability to write and bring her characters to life. It is a moving story and brings God's truth to life. God is ultimately in control and His love is amazing!
