This is a great series. I learned quite a bit about the FBI and sign language. Many parts of it are funny. It is unusual that it is a recent series and is totally Christian. It has no porn, swearing, etc.
A word of caution, however, is that while there is only some actual violence, it is talked about quite a bit. So most of the shows are not suitable for kids under 12. I hope this does not discourage anyone from buying it-- it is a great series, but I do think that parents of younger children should be warned.
We have thoroughly enjoyed this series and want to get more. We appreciate that the stories are entertaining, engaging, and do not contain any objectionable language or scenes. This is entertainment at its best!
I've been waiting for this show to become available and at an affordable price! This is good, wholesome entertainment. (No cursing, no suggestive language and gives testimony of Jesus Christ) Good family show for all ages. The acting is great, the show makes you both laugh and cry. It bridges an understanding between those who live in the hearing world and the non-hearing world and what has to be dealt with on a daily basis on both parts. The fact that it's based on the life of the real Sue Thomas intrigued me when the show first came on t.v., as I have a sister who is partially deaf, who taught herself to read lips at the age of 5 years old, so it took a while for our parents to discover her hearing loss. I wish there were more t.v. shows like this one!
