ChristianBook eBooks on the Sony Reader
To read a Christianbook.com licensed eBook on your Sony device, you will need to use Adobe Digital Editions.
Without using ADE, the Sony Reader will attempt to open eBooks with its own software, the Reader Library, and you may receive an error message.
To bypass the Sony Reader Library, return to the eBook portion of 'My Account' on our site, and click to download the eBook again.
When the Adobe Digital Editions installer comes up, click on 'Download Item.'
If you are downloading a DRM Protected eBook, you will be prompted to open or save the URLLINK.acsm. Click 'Save'.
Save the file to your Desktop for quick access later.
Right-click on the URLLINK file, then select 'Open With' and choose Adobe Digital Editions.
If Adobe Digital Editions is not in the list, click 'Choose Default Program' and then select Adobe Digital Editions from the list.
Your eBook will open and display in ADE.
Plug in your Sony Reader, which will now display its model number and not just as Sony Reader.
Now just click, drag and drop your eBook onto the Sony Reader icon.
You can now eject your Sony Reader, open up the Books library and your eBook is ready to read.

Do you feel stuck?
So many of us live stuck. Stuck in trying to seem perfect. Stuck in sadness. Stuck feeling numb. Stuck pursuing more stuff to make us happy. Stuck in something we can't even name. These stuck places often go unattended inside of us and they are shaping our lives more than we would like to think. We've been trying to fix this feeling with everything but...
God. He has a plan for these spaces inside of us, the places we feel broken, but we have to go to Him. Stuck is a journey to take an honest look at the fight going on inside, leading us to the God who has a plan to restore it, to restore us.
The eight lessons in this study guide are simple and interactive, offering projects, stories, and Bible study to dig into Scripture, to deeply engage the mind and heart. Because as we realize that our stuck places are the very places that make us ache for God, we find Him waiting there for us with hope and freedom.

jlsche00Gender: female2 Stars Out Of 5Not for the linear thinkerJuly 16, 2013jlsche00Gender: femaleQuality: 2Value: 4Meets Expectations: 2I love the concept of this book, but as a linear thinker, reading it has been a huge struggle for me almost every day in the two chapters I have completed so far. That's not due to the ideas, as much as it is due to the writing style. Jennie is clearly not an ISTJ! She uses imprecise/arguably incorrect language (for example, using the term "rights," instead of "silly perceived entitlements," which is what she really means when she's describing things like "the 'right' to a fast-moving grocery line," and then saying all "rights" must be surrendered). Because of this kind of ambiguity, I have had to look up the Bible verses she cites to try to figure out exactly what she means, and in doing so have discovered numerous things that bother me. She makes some logical leaps in some of her Biblical interpretations, saying that Luke 6:28-30 means we should let all attacks/injustices "wash over us without a fight," when in context of Luke 6:27-36 (the full discussion), what Jesus is talking about is loving your enemies and responding to them in loving ways -- not necessarily being passive in the face of every single attack. Her use of Galatians 2:20 in chapter 2 (Mad) is also out of context. She uses it to support the idea of surrendering our "rights," but what that full passage is actually talking about is justification by faith vs. justification by observance of the law. Again, I've only made it through two chapters -- perhaps I can ignore this kind of thing to make it through the entire study, but as an extremely linear/logically minded reader, I'm not sure whether I can or if I should...
kelli bTexasAge: 35-44Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Better than other studies I have doneApril 5, 2013kelli bTexasAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4I teach bible studies in my home to women who just want to know God more. I have taught other studies like Beth Moore. What intrigued me about Stuck was the fact that it was something different from the rest. My favorite part has become the discussion cards...I love how my group is opening up and letting God into their lives so that they can become unstuck...We are already looking forward to starting Jennie Allen's next study called Chase.

Stacie LynnAge: 25-34Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5CompellingDecember 14, 2011Stacie LynnAge: 25-34Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This study is inspired, fresh, and relevant. After my bible study group worked through each portion of the study, I felt like I was back at high school summer camp when I realized that Christ, prayer, and God were very real and very present in my life. One of the best parts of this study is the honesty that it requires - we can all read the Bible, go to church, talk about Christ, and yet never really permit our faith to grow beyond a certain point. This study is modern without compromising the integrity of the faith. It does a good job of presenting the tough questions in life, all the while communicating the underlying message of God's love. I can't wait to see what Jennie comes up with next!
