This is the first book in the Brio series, and it's a great way to start it off. Jackie is a normal high-schooler that is stuck in the middle of two friends: the high-standard Becca, and the flirty Solana. All throughout the book, she is either acting like Becca or Solana. When Jacie meets the new guy from school, Damien, they start dating. Jacie doesn't tell her friends about it, because she's afraid Becca will think she's wrong to do it because he's not a Christian, and Solana will cheer her on. Jacie is having a hard time sharing her faith with other people, and is not being a good witness to Damien. At one point, Damien tells Jacie why he moved here. He was in a car accident and he can't forgive himself for it. Jacie is finally able to help him through the situation. At the end of the book, the two are friends--but I hope they'll start dating again!

This book was fantastic and I got intrigued with the Brio series and I am now hooked.
