Endorsements

"Stuck in the Past is a movie that brings in the whole family with some interesting characters and lots of music. One of the movie’s lessons: tradition can follow you wherever you go." — Mark Taylor, president KNEO Radio
"Superb Appalachian bluegrass music sets the stage for this movie about the importance of family and moral values." Stuck in the Past stirs emotions as it challenges people to face their past and accept their unique gifts." — M. Lynn Reddick, Ph.D., President of Open Church Ministries.
"I enjoyed the movie. The music was great and the message strong. Everyone would like a second chance to make better choices in life, and to find that real success comes not from being famous, but knowing that home is where your heart is, and that loving family and God are the most important things life offers. Loved the song Nothing is more wonderful than forgiveness. So true." — Pastor Everett Denniston, senior pastor at Merlin Community Baptist Church in Merlin, OR.

Let me tell you straight away that if you do not like musicals...you will NOT like this. My husband did not like this only because he does not like musicals one iota! I went into watching this film with no expectations due to how cheap I purchased it. I figured it would not be much of anything. This short movie blew me away!! I loved the message of how important family is and how important the older siblings are to the younger ones. I felt as if i was watching a neighbors family and what all they were going thru. I did get a few chuckles. Some of it seemed a little "young-stupid antics" but it was still good and clean.

I would highly recommend this fun film to any who like musicals. Anyone who would like a clean, wholesome family movie.

I have been writing reviews here at CBD for years now, and this is the first time I can remember having to say anything negative. There is a good message here, but it is hidden in the most ridiculous, poorly acted film I have ever seen. When it was over, I wondered why I had wasted my time. Don't waste yours!!!

I bought this b/c my family loves music and we need more wholesome movies, but I am very sorry to say it ended up in the trash. Poor quality, weak story, bad acting by many-not all. Again sorry for the bad review but I don't want anyone to waste their $.

I found "Stuck IN The Past" to be an excellant show for the family. It reminded me of shows as, Father Knows Best and others from that time. We could use mor shows like this for our family viewing.Stay in Gods care. Jack hodge

I disagree with anyone that could not enjoy this movie even if you don't like wholesome stories with lovable characters and fun music. My family got this for a gift and everyone has loved it. This movie had funny moments along with a touching story that makes you think about choices we make. The songs were very catchy and I loved the old setting. We have past it around to friends and they come back saying they loved it. It is also great seeing the Big Ragu and Pastor Greg in the same movie. Thank you very much.

Tell us a little about yourself.  I love movies my family and the Lord. I hope people will enjoy Stuck In The Past as much as I do

What was your motivation behind this project?  To make a unique movie that nobody's ever seen before. original and fun.

What do you hope folks will gain from this project?  an understanding that family and God mean everything. Yes theres problems and arguments from time to time, but, with them by your side you'll have much more joy and peace.

How were you personally impacted by working on this project?  The music producer Dave Moody (Multi Dove winner and Grammy nominee) and the Director Greg Robbins (tv's Pastor Greg) These guys are really talented and they did a great job producing Stuck In The Past.

Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists?  I love movies, good movies with a great score, especially ones that inspire me.

Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know:  “Stuck in the Past” Reviews “Stuck in the Past is a family-friendly film with a good message. A lot of people will enjoy the hillbilly caricatures that move the story along and reach a conclusion with a moral message.” Randall Murphree, American Family Association Journal Editor A fun film for the entire family. Unique, different and fun. Enjoy! David Bruce, This is a quirky film with a lot to offer. Dove is happy to award the Dove "Family-Approved" Seal to “Stuck in the Past”. It is a heartwarming movie you will want to get "stuck" watching! Candice Moore, The Dove Foundation “What would you do if you had a second chance at life? STUCK IN THE PAST tackles that question with charm and wit.” movieguide.org The pickin’ leaves you grinnin’! Top-notch bluegrass is the real star of Stuck in the Past, as most of the cast gets in on the musical fun. The story’s down-home message rings true to its musical roots.
