"Superb Appalachian bluegrass music sets the stage for this movie about the importance of family and moral values." Stuck in the Past stirs emotions as it challenges people to face their past and accept their unique gifts." M. Lynn Reddick, Ph.D., President of Open Church Ministries.
"I enjoyed the movie. The music was great and the message strong. Everyone would like a second chance to make better choices in life, and to find that real success comes not from being famous, but knowing that home is where your heart is, and that loving family and God are the most important things life offers. Loved the song Nothing is more wonderful than forgiveness. So true." Pastor Everett Denniston, senior pastor at Merlin Community Baptist Church in Merlin, OR.

My husband did not like this only because he does not like musicals one iota! I went into watching this film with no expectations due to how cheap I purchased it. I figured it would not be much of anything. This short movie blew me away!! I loved the message of how important family is and how important the older siblings are to the younger ones. I felt as if i was watching a neighbors family and what all they were going thru. I did get a few chuckles. Some of it seemed a little "young-stupid antics" but it was still good and clean.
I would highly recommend this fun film to any who like musicals. Anyone who would like a clean, wholesome family movie.
Jeannie DonaldsonStatesboro, GAAge: 55-65Gender: female1 Stars Out Of 5A waste of time!June 19, 2013Jeannie DonaldsonStatesboro, GAAge: 55-65Gender: femaleQuality: 2Value: 5Meets Expectations: 1I have been writing reviews here at CBD for years now, and this is the first time I can remember having to say anything negative. There is a good message here, but it is hidden in the most ridiculous, poorly acted film I have ever seen. When it was over, I wondered why I had wasted my time. Don't waste yours!!!
Preston O'lary1 Stars Out Of 5May 11, 2010Preston O'laryI bought this b/c my family loves music and we need more wholesome movies, but I am very sorry to say it ended up in the trash. Poor quality, weak story, bad acting by many-not all. Again sorry for the bad review but I don't want anyone to waste their $.

Laura Sarknas5 Stars Out Of 5May 29, 2009Laura SarknasI disagree with anyone that could not enjoy this movie even if you don't like wholesome stories with lovable characters and fun music. My family got this for a gift and everyone has loved it. This movie had funny moments along with a touching story that makes you think about choices we make. The songs were very catchy and I loved the old setting. We have past it around to friends and they come back saying they loved it. It is also great seeing the Big Ragu and Pastor Greg in the same movie. Thank you very much.
