Jennie Allen's passion is to communicate a bigger God through writing and teaching. She graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary with a masters in Biblical studies and is blessed to serve alongside her husband, Zac, in ministry. They have four children, including their youngest son who was recently adopted from Rwanda.

Stuck: A DVD-Based Study 4.7 5 15 15

I will be doing this one again! This series is amazing and teaches practical, biblical, and engaging ways of dealing with some very common issues that all women face...I should say all people face...this study could be for men & women...it's that good...love that it has lot's of teaching opportunities along with full participation of the group members...the DVD's are short but concise and if you follow the leaders guide recommendations, each lesson comes alive. Love the conversation cards and so did my group...I will be doing this again. April 10, 2013

good but print hard to read We are enjoying this study in our Ladies group at church. The main problem we have is the print is on such a weird paper and the color used for the print makes it so that all words are hard to read. Our older ladies have a really hard time. The color used was not thought out, a person must really struggle to read most of the book. The content is good, as is the DVD. July 18, 2012

Great study! I was very excited to have the chance to review the DVD/Book study Ã¢ÂÂStuckÃ¢ÂÂ. There seems to be a lack of womenÃ¢ÂÂs bible studies for groups that are actually engaging the struggles of Christian women. Jennie Allen goes right into the practical, past the Ã¢ÂÂright answerÃ¢ÂÂ remarks, to address the sort of things that hold us back in our lives of faith. This kind of study can be intimidating for small group leaders to lead, but the leaders guide really does a great job of equipping you with not only the topics, but how different people can best be lead to a place where they can engage with hard topics. This is the kind of teaching that can help not only lead this study, but every other study, and all the more as you learn more about the people in your group. The session dealing with Ã¢ÂÂdiscontentÃ¢ÂÂ was a great highlight. Addressing how we naturally get into patterns of discontent in our lives, wanting...something (sometimes not even knowing what it is we think we want). It focuses on the biblical truth of how God is calling us to something much greater. When we get free of this desire for more, no matter if it is for more Ã¢ÂÂstuffÃ¢ÂÂ, a different body image, or whatever else, we start becoming ready for GodÃ¢ÂÂs larger purposes that he desires for us. No matter who you are, there is something that seems to engage with where you are in this study, with issues of fear, anger, overloaded, dealing with sadness and more. It does not condemn you, but points you towards something far greater, God and his promises. And it does it in a way that isnÃ¢ÂÂt just pretending one easy answer will fix everything. This study will not fix everyoneÃ¢ÂÂs problems, but it will certainly help you get on the right path for getting unstuck with GodÃ¢ÂÂs help. Stuck by Jennie Allen I was so excited to receive this small group Bible Study to review. It is very nicely packaged, and I love how everything is laid out so clearlyÃ¢ÂÂ¦you know exactly what materials to use when. On a practical level, this study is great because each session can be gone through rather quickly if your group is short on time, or you can really dig into it and really get a lot out of each session. On a spiritual level, this is a much needed study of the ways woman get caught up in everyday life problems and end up Ã¢ÂÂstuckÃ¢ÂÂ there, unable to pursue the life God has planned for them. I believe many women will benefit from this study and would recommend it to small womanÃ¢ÂÂs Bible study groups. My favorite feature of this set is the discussion cards. Often the biggest hurdle in Bible study groups is getting everyone engaged in the discussion, and these cards are the perfect catalyst to make that happen. A wonderful resource!
