The Story of Noah's Ark: Storybook and Wall Clings
Big, Bright, Bold
Everyone loves retellings of Noah's Ark, and we (ahem) own many of them ourselves. That being said, when The Story of Noah's Ark: Storybook and Wall Clings hit our house, pandemonium broke out! There were big stickers inside of this book! Big bright stickers! That mom wouldn't mind if we put on the walls! My three-year-old was all over the book, then my five-year-old, and dare I say it...my eight-year old fastidiously rearranging and tidying the scene that was growing on the front of our refridgerator.
Now, we don't have a lot of empty wall space (bookshelves, you know?) but we were all very happy that the reposition-able wall clings (20 clings in all) work just dandy on our fridge (you can use them on the wall if you have room!) There is a big ark, a rainbow, and cute, colorful animals both singly (if they are large), and in pairs (if they are small). The missing single animals are shown on board the ship - don't worry, there are two of each!
The illustrations are big, bold, and vibrant and work very well for my three-year-old both in the book itself and on the clings. The book is a very simple, straight forward retelling of the flood and of Noah's heroic rescue of the animals. I was a bit sad that only Noah and his wife are included as the human occupants of the ark (no Ham, Shem, or Japeth) and the animals are only in pairs, none in sevens (still looking for a simple retelling that includes this), but Noah's wife does get a really cute role in this book.

Great supplement for our Bible time
This book came just in time for us for our preschool Bible time. We were studying about Noah's Ark and this book fit perfectly. They book is very colorful and tells the story of Noah and the Ark and the animals. I loved the wall clings because it gave something for my son to do while I read and then he was able to retell the story back to me.
If you have a child in your life, this would make a wonderful present. The wall clings are moveable and come off the wall easily and never makes a mark. They fit back on the pages easily as well. In fact, my son liked putting them back because it was like a puzzle to him...to make sure they were back where they came from!
I received this book free from Kregel Publications in exchange or my honest opinion.

Excellent Resource for Families
Children love books and stickers. And parents and friends and teachers and pretty much anyone who loves children love good stories that teach the Bible. The Story of Noah's Ark: Wall Clings is a great combination of a wonderful story and a fun set of stickers/wall clings that will keep little minds and hands busy long after the story is over.
The author does a fantastic job of re-telling a familiar story in a way that young children will grasp important concepts. The pictures are amazingly captivating. The pictures are simple but so colorful. My only potential concern is that the "wall clings" were stickier on the back than I expected. I would definitely try them out somewhere inconspicuous before your kids plaster them all over the walls. But windows or the book itself might be a nice alternative if you're nervous about the walls.
I highly recommend this resource for families!

A great start to Biblical Truths
This is such a cute way to retell the story of the Flood and keep it Biblically based, the only issue that I had was that NoahâÂÂs sons and their wives were not mentioned nor shown. However, I also understand most children have short attention spans and this book will open their hearts up to the truths in GodâÂÂs Word on their level and understanding. The cute, child friendly illustrations are done by Luana Rinaldo and will keep any childâÂÂs attention as this 16 page book is read to them and tells of how much God does love us.
The book has two pages of wall clings â 21 clings in all to decorate a wall while the story is being read. The clings are colorful and match the illustrations through out the book. It is best to try these on and out of the way spot on a wall but they worked fine on our painted, white walls. After the story put them back in the book or leave them up so that your child and you can continue to have discussions about the Flood, GodâÂÂs Word, and how He loved us so much He eventually sent One to Save us all.
Some parents make not like the cutesy illustrations and simplistic way the story is told, however I really appreciated it as my son sat still and listened and he asked engaging questions. The book can be backed up with a reading of the actual event by pulling your Bible out and reading it in little increments. Overall, this is a wonderful addition to my childrenâÂÂs library and I also think this would make an excellent gift for other children, either those who arenâÂÂt churched or even those who are!
