Our adults are reading the adult version for bible study and I found myself reading aloud to my 5 yr old, who has a high reading level for her age. I had to condense some words for understanding. To help me out I went ahead and bought this book and she is reading hers as I read mine. Then we would discuss the similarities and difference of our books. The biblical meaning came across the same just on a different level and it helped to have read this book first. I like the few pictures for each chapter which are in black and white. Over all my daughter loves her book. Look mommy I am just like you at Bible School.
Recently asked to facilitate a 'tween' class. Wanted them to get to know the bible and the stories within. Found this resource by just looking at the internet sites offering Christian education. I bought a book for each of my children in the class. I have them read ahead for the week, hoping that this will set a pattern for daily bible readings as they get older. We go over the story in class and discuss. We dont necessarily use all of the resources provided each week but my kids really love the skits! We only have about 30-40 min but the material is written for longer time frames as well. Would recommend for any age group as it takes you through the bible.
