Leslie S5 Stars Out Of 5This is REQUIRED before my kids can graduateJanuary 27, 2015Leslie SQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I spent my high school years taking all the upper math courses I could to prepare for college. Then when I got to college decided to take an "easy" math course to fulfill my math requirement. This was the first time that anyone had talked to me about interest and fees and mortgages. I felt ripped off by the educational establishment and determined that my kids would NOT have the same wait to learn such important lessons for life.
So I was delighted as my kids reached the high school years to find this curriculum. It was a big help in sharing with them money management from a Biblical perspective.
May I recommend though that you don't just hand this program over to your kids, but that you do it along WITH them. Sharing your experiences and even your family finances with your high school student will make the program even more real to them. It may even help them learn to turn off the lights when they leave the room!!!

This one is my favorite! It puts the lessons in a way that are understandable for the student and teacher as well as practical without drudgery. The lessons and devotional guide teach the student to apply the lessons to daily life now, as it is taught for all areas of life. Not a separate area. The way Steve Demme has laid this course out it brings in some added "Ah-hah!! ... Thats what we use that math concept for...." Not only does this course teach stewardship, but also models integrity too. I highly recommend!

Great course!
