Gina5 Stars Out Of 5Illustrated Bible DictionaryJune 22, 2015GinaQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Very pleased! Lots of pictures, easy to read. I love how the information is organized. I'm able to read one bit of information at a time and let it sink in. The book has a good mix of photos, drawings, paintings and maps, modern photos mixed with fine art. I am a very visual learner and this book is perfect!

The way the book is set out makes it so much more user friendly than most dictionaries. It would suit many readers, especially those who need more basic information, presented in a contemporary style. It works well for me and is all I wanted it to be.
James2 Stars Out Of 5Has ShortcomingsMay 5, 2015JamesQuality: 1Value: 5Meets Expectations: 1For me it is a disappointment. It is very sketchy in it's descriptions. The author uses different Bible versions in the text, something that does not appeal to me. I do not have all of the different versions he uses to compare for differences. He uses MSG, NIRV, TNIV, CEV, NCV, NASB, NKJB, KJV, etc., and many verses do not show which version of the Bible he is using. The author states, in the front of the book, that this is a 'Bible dictionary on training wheels' and for 'Bible newbies.' A lot of verses lack context without knowing the verses before and/or after the verse he quotes. I am wavering on whether or not I would recommend this book for beginners and would not recommend it to a mature Christian.
