It seemed a normal spring morning in Savannah until Jonathan Rayburn heard an angelic voice on Monterey Square. Within moments of setting eyes upon the exceptionally beautiful Keri McGuire, he welcomed her to his beloved city and into his heart. In the days ahead, his faith is severely tested because of one homeless man and a civil lawsuit. Daniel Stanton, a busy attorney in St. Augustine, arrived at Mrs. Quinn’s home, questioning why his father’s client has requested his legal advice. One portrait upstairs caught his attention; one nearly identical portrait in the music room captured his wishful thoughts. Never in his life had he been so disappointed when he actually met the granddaughter from Milwaukee. While Laura Martin challenged his ethics, he prayed to be a man of conviction.

Tell us a little about yourself. The parents of Gail Ann Williams joined the family of God five years before she was born, and they faithfully attended a large rural Nazarene Church named Richfield, located near Flint, Michigan. Her brother. Teddy, died in a car accident when he was eleven, and her sister, Jill, was born six years later. Gail gave her heart to the Lord at an early age. At Christmas time, 1963, she married Richard Warner, and they waited to start a family until he earned his engineering degree. In l972, Richard felt Gods call to full-time ministry. For thirty-five years, Gails varied roles as a ministers wife brought her great fulfillment and opportunities to witness for Christ. With fond memories, she recalls the years in a parsonage setting, where they raised three outstanding daughters. They are also proud to claim eight terrific grandchildren. With a busy schedule, Gail often wrote in the middle of the night. She liked the editing process the best. For unlike reality, she could alter the plot, add her humor, imagine suspenseful tales, fit historical information into the dialog, and compose moments of inspiration. Rockford, Illinois is home to Gail and her husband. Since she is a 5 time-cancer survivor, she studies about health issues. She finds joy in participating in Beth Moore Bible studies, traveling in the U.S., working in her flower garden, connecting with friends on Facebook, and singing specials in church. Her prayer is that this novel will minister to each reader in an individual and unique way.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? Note from a reader: YOU ARE A TRUE ROMANTIC AT HEART, AND YOUR HISTORICAL EDGE MAKES ME WANT TO VISIT SAVANNAH, ST. SIMONS ISLAND, AND ST. AUGUSTINE. YOU HAD TO SPEND ALOT OF TIME IN RESEARCH TO LAY SUCH A PICTURE STORY. YOU PRESENT EACH CHARACTER WITH A DESIRE TO KNOW MORE.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? I am pleased that God gave me the ability to write without taking a writing class or a computer class.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? I will list three authors that influenced my writing style: Charlotte Bronte, Eugenia Price, and Grace Livingston Hill.
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: Springtime in Savannah, published May 2012 by Gail Ann Warner, is being featured at THE WOMEN OF FAITH TOUR IN KANSAS CITY, MO. NOV. 2-3, 2012. Fifty bookstubs will be made available with the e-book.
