The book takes a look at some of the common challenges that question the divine message of the Bible. Hank looks at the four areas of questions regarding the manuscript, archeology, prophecy, and how to read the Bible faithfully and how to listen to the stories as they were intended to be listened to. He addresses some of the main, current questions from various people including scholars, scientists, and politicians and tries to respond with a solid, biblical foundation as well as common sense and logic.

The book was very interesting to read as he addressed and responded to some challenges Christians face in their lives from non-believers. He combines his broad knowledge of the Bible with science, politics, and philosophy. His arguments are, for the most part, clearly addressing some of the issues.

The first two parts of the book were excellent and outstanding, looking at the history of the manuscripts and archeological findings that support the validity of the Bible as the true word of God. He lays out his arguments and refutes the challenges in a very logical way and it is easy to follow his thoughts. The last two parts are a little harder to follow, as he continues to pick on peopleÃ¢ÂÂs beliefs based on short quotes taken from speeches given in situations where a full testimony was out of place or where people responded to challenges from the far right. While his main thoughts are still mostly clear, it seems strongly directed against peopleÃ¢ÂÂs beliefs that sometimes seem to read into the certain situations and do not seem to be reflecting the true beliefs the person may be holding.

In summary, the book is an interesting, up to date response to challenges of the BibleÃ¢ÂÂs authority as GodÃ¢ÂÂs word. It is written in language that is easy to follow and engaging in current questions and issues. Overall, I would recommend this book.

This book is about the different ways that a Christian can prove that God has spoken and that His Word is truly divine. Hank Hanegraaff uses several different anagrams to help keep those different evidences in our memories. This book is meant to be a tool to help Christians be able to refute various arguments against the divine inspiration of the Bible in an educated way.

While the information itself is interesting and, as far as I could tell, Biblically accurate, I found it very hard to stay interested in this book. In some cases the author really made things easy to understand, but in others he used bigger words that, those of us who have not necessarily been Biblically trained may not understand. There were several sections that I had to re-read just to be able to understand what he was saying. I kept a dictionary nearby to look up words that I wasnÃ¢ÂÂt completely certain of the meanings. I would recommend this book as a reference, but if youÃ¢ÂÂre looking for a quick read that you can use instantly to have an educated conversation, this isnÃ¢ÂÂt the book. However, I do see the value of this book, and I will definitely be keeping it nearby and using it as a guide.

This book is a work of apologetics and read as such, filled with stories of those opposed to God and the argument that God exists. The book is written on a highly intellectual realm, and reads as a seminary text. Some of the ideas behind the book such as the use of acronyms are helpful in trying to obtain the information (MAPS Ã¢ÂÂ manuscript, archaeological, prophecy, scriptural synergy). True to form with many apologists, the book is geared to the likes of upper level college and professor discussions.
I found that the book is not to be taken lightly and would not recommend it to just anyone. There are several stories through the book that I found myself unfamiliar with, so I felt lost and confused. I believe that as time goes on, I will gain from the book. I think that fans of Ravi Zacharias would enjoy the flow and feel of the book. I believe God has spoken, but he does not use a language that is above the everyday person. I understand that most apologists battle college professors, but it is the average person that has more day to day contact with unbelievers.

It was a great privilege extended to me by the folks at Thomas Nelson, Book Sneeze, to receive this book and to review it.

I should simply start off by emphatically saying that I loved this book. I though Hanegraaff did a great job of presenting the information in an enjoyable manner but also in a well organized method.

Not only did the style of writing and organization of the book make it an interesting read but it is also very teachable. It would work well for a small group; large group; or individual study.

The Bible Answer Man has presented the various proofs by utilizing acrostics. The overall acrostic for the book is the word Ã¢ÂÂM-A-P-S.Ã¢ÂÂ The four letters represent the four parts of the book Ã¢ÂÂManuscripts, Archaeology, Prophetic, and Scripture.Ã¢ÂÂ Each of these words has its own acrostic as he systematically presents evidence to show the Bible really is GodÃ¢ÂÂs spoken Word and refutes critics for their arguments against the Bible being GodÃ¢ÂÂs spoken Word.

One other thing Hanegraaff did that I appreciated was that he provided some of the arguments from modern day skeptics. The list of these modern day skeptics includes popular author Richard Dawkins; and Bart Ehrman, distinguished professor of religious studies at the prestigious University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Hanegraaff writes that Ehrman appears to be Ã¢ÂÂpeculiarly proud of causing the faith of many of his students to waver.Ã¢ÂÂ

As this book takes you through a variety of proofsÃ¢ÂÂ¦.all working togetherÃ¢ÂÂ¦..you will not only find your own faith being strengthened but you will also find that you will be able to help those who are asking questions and faltering in their own faith.

This is the first book written by Hank Hanegraaff that IÃ¢ÂÂve read. He has written many. This book, Ã¢ÂÂHas God Spoken?Ã¢ÂÂ is the final book in a trilogy written by Hanegraaff. The first two books were: Ã¢ÂÂThe Farce of EvolutionÃ¢ÂÂ and Ã¢ÂÂResurrection.Ã¢ÂÂ I think after reading this book, I would most certainly enjoy and benefit from reading the first two books of this trilogy.
