Spiritual Warfare book
I was a bit disappointed in this book. I thought there would be more of the doctrine of Spiritual Warfare, not so much of His experiences. It is interesting of how he and other Believers are / were able to help those overcome by the powers of darkness... by applying Biblical doctrine..
It is that the book is MUCH different than what I expected. I would recommend it to someone who is looking more to doctrinal examples than to Biblical doctrine.

Spiritual Warfare crisis? Read this!
For years when it came to the topic of Spiritual Warfare I preferred to squeeze my eyes (and mind) tightly shut and just ignore the idea of trying to sift through what was traditional teaching, false doctrine, and sound biblical truth for fear that I would never really "get it" or be able to apply it anyway - I mean, isn't that just for those who went to Seminary to deal with? I was emotionally and mentally turned off to the idea of (what I classified as) the Charismatic movement due to negative church experiences in my past and everything associated with that denomination (which in my experience was heavy on the Holy Spirit, Spiritual Warfare in every sniffle, trial, and financial struggle and fragmented Scripture and light on sound doctrine and a hermeneutical or exegesis study of the Word.) THEN came some personal spiritual crisis and the desire to find a trustworthy source. Not only does Dr. Payne teach and train, he uses "real world" examples to explain the Biblical truth contained in his book in tangible, understandable applications! By the end of the book, one is empowered by Biblical truth to understand where our power comes from, how it is manifested, and one is given applicable tools to use in any situation of spiritual warfare!! I also just listened to a radio broadcast where in he was featured on the radio on a program (which I can't mention specifically due to the writing guidelines of promoting another website that Christianbook has) with a broadcast date of December 5th, 2011. I guess you could use a search engine to find it :) If you'd like to check him out for yourself before buying his book, it is a MUST listen and a great refresher for those who have read it already!

Great read for those seeking practical advice
This is the best Christian book I have ever read. For a long time I have sought the practical advice given in this book. Praise God for giving us this book to put in practical terms the wisdom of the bible.
